In some way I have always been an Artist, leading to achieve a Bachelors of Fine Art at Arizona State University. Graduating in 2007 I began photographing weddings. Working with a local wedding company for 6 years, I learned some great tricks of the trade. Moving on from that, I began pursuing a free lance art profession. I found myself not too concerned with subject matter, shooting anything I could get my hands on. Portraits mostly, high school seniors, family, newborns, and weddings. However my experience in the service industry for almost two decades led to a passion for photographing food, drinks, and architecture. From working both industries I formed a high level of customer service, and communication skill, as well as problem solving and managing stressful situations. It is a passion to capture great photos, trying to be creative and bold in some instances, or for personal projects, yet a traditional or photojournalist style might be more appropriate for some concepts. Either way, I find the excitement in any project. Sometimes utilizing the natural light available on location, and/or using strobe flashes and reflectors to achieve that specific look or style.
Awards, honors and recognition
I really enjoy participating in online photography contests, unfortunately I have yet to win.
A fun fact about me
I am also a traditional artist. I enjoy graphite and charcoal drawing, as well as Glass Etching. I've completed several glass etching contracts over the years. And am gaining traction in the digital art genre.
