Hi I’m Megan, a San Diego-based photographer, nutritionist, and enthusiastic cook. After spending a healthy portion of my childhood and early-ish adulthood living abroad, my fascination with the intersection of people, language, and FOOD was born.
I believe food may be the remedy for all that ails us. While the beauty of food itself provides ample inspiration for my photography, I’m just as intrigued by the role food plays in building and nourishing community and its innate ability to connect us a human beings.
My photos showcase not just food, but also shine a light on the stories of the people that make it all possible. I can't wait to work with you to execute your unique vision, tell your story, and create mouthwatering images!

A fun fact about me
Back in 2007 I had just moved to Antofagasta, Chile. My husband (unbeknownst to me) signed me up for a half-marathon because he had heard there was a cash prize. How flattering, but how CRAZY especially given the race was the coming weekend. Let's just say I wasn't super excited. I ran the race. I somehow managed to actually finish. Third! Uhm yeah, out of four women. That afternoon, I went home, ate almost an entire pizza, and slept the rest of the day. The next morning I rushed out the door to buy my first "real" camera in anticipation of my prize money. While I did eventually receive a prize, it turned out to be a gift certificate (albeit a generous one) to a sporting goods store. Something had been lost in translation. Over the next few years I worked hard to improve my Spanish and I also kept the camera. I'm so glad I did.
