I use a candid/photojournalistic approach and strive to create photos that are authentic and reflect everything that makes you, your team, and/or your project awesome with minimum fuss. I aim to promote a fun and relaxed environment that allows folks to enjoy the whole photo experience while still creating great photos.
I primarily photograph events and portraits but also dabble in product, fashion, architecture, and landscape photography.
More about me: Born along California's central coast, I grew up overseas, which fostered my love of travel, adventure, and sharing stories and experiences. Being part of a traveling family, we had many cameras and I casually enjoyed photography throughout my youth. It wasn't until 2011, when my wife and I took an extended cross-country road trip to take a break from our daily grind, that I took a deep dive into photographing our life. I started working as a full-time photographer in 2012.

We found Brian via Thumbtack. He quickly responded to my inquiry and was very responsive and easy to work with. We planned to take family portraits during our stay at Pajaro Dunes and Brian made it easy for us to schedule a 30 minute session. The pictures are amazing!! Truly beyond my expectations. We have a blended family of 4 teens and young adults - we got awesome fun shots of the brothers, really beautiful pics of me and my hubby and plenty of shots of the whole family. Love, love his work, easy going personality made it more comfortable for the teens, couple of whom normally never want to crack a smile. Brian is talented and great to work with. I would highly recommend him for any occasion. The 30 minute photo shoot was very reasonably priced even though Brian had to travel to Pajaro Dunes, Watsonville from Sunnyvale. I will definitely keep Brian's contact for future picture occasion.

I hired Brian for my husband's 50th birthday party. It was milestone celebration so I wanted to capture as many memories. Brian was very responsive from the get go. He requested a quick chat with me prior to the event to make sure he understood what I wanted. He arrived early to the venue and took some great venue shots. Once the guests arrived, he was on top of his game. He took candid shots and many posed shots on request. He was super friendly and easy going. I received a link to the photos after only a few days. The photos are amazing! They exceeded my expectations. I shared some of the photos with our party guests and even they were impressed with the quality of the shots. I would hire Brian again in a hearbeat. Thanks Brian!

Brian is the consummate professional....in a photographer that means he knows his camera, lens, lighting, (all high quality and state of the art), plus he has a calm, easygoing demeanor so his subjects are relaxed, confident and emotive, making for fantastic pictures. From one "headshot" photoshoot for four people, we got different poses, wardrobe changes and group shots. We had stern, funny, natural and everything.
