I love cooking and making drinks for friends and family and much of that was learned while shooting food and being around chefs in kitchens across Colorado. I'm a visual person and have picked up so much just watching chefs and bartenders work their magic.
Awards, honors and recognition
I won the William Randolph Hearst Photojournalism Championship in 1991/92 and shared in two Pulitzer Prizes for Breaking News Photography (2000 and 2003) as well as the Scripps Howard National Photojournalism Award in 2000. Many more national and regional awards for photography during my 15 year career in newspapers.
A fun fact about me
I enjoy the outdoors in Colorado from mountain biking to camping to snowboarding and I own an adorable one year old Vizsla that I use as a prop in shoots whenever possible ; )
