Aloha!
My name is Nick and I live here on the beautiful island of Oahu. I grew up lifeguarding down at the beach. I have a lot of love and respect for the ocean. It is one of the biggest reasons why I got into photography. I love working with people whether it be capturing something as beautiful as their wedding or engagement. I equally enjoy shooting surf with various clients or doing commercial work. Photography was a hobby that turned into profession. It has allowed me to work with some amazing clients all over the world. I love meeting people and capturing a priceless moment that they can cherish forever. I also really enjoy shooting film and will always throw in a role or two for clients i work with
Awards, honors and recognition
started when i was very young and won best image at the county fair three years in a row. I was a finalist in "Changing of the tides" An event held here in hawaii for aspiring water photographers. My work has been published in Magazines all over the world. Ive received covers and many page spreads of my work.
A fun fact about me
I was a Lifeguard and Medic for 8 years. I shoot pipeline in the water during the biggest swells for work or fun. I know American Sign Language due to a diving accident that took a majority of hearing in one of my ears. I work with the World Surf League and Redbull. Ive shoot weddings all over the world. Broken over 30 bones Swam with sharks to take photos ID'ing them for a job for years Surfed and filmed Teahupoo in Tahiti which is considered one of the deadliest waves. I really enjoy shooting on film and sometimes find myself not even packing a digital camera for trips.
