I believe I'm a very good photographer. My favorites photos are when I can capture the special candid moments which show people at their best. I'd rather capture the real emotions at an event than anything posed, although I know the posed photos are very meaningful, too. Probably that goes back to my background as a newspaper photographer. I have some 40 years of photo-journalism experience at daily and weekly newspapers. My specialties are sports photography, school photography, portraits and head shots, high school senior portraits and weddings. I'd love to work with you to capture exactly what you're looking for.
Awards, honors and recognition
I was a newspaper photojournalist for nearly 40 years, winning numerous journalism awards for photography, writing, reporting and editing at newspapers in Minnesota, Iowa and Oregon.
A fun fact about me
I've been an extra in three movies, notably including the parade scene in "Animal House."
