I truly love photographing most anything. It's how I see the world and how I express myself. So, I'll give you my top 3 fav subjects.
1) I love food! Growing, cooking, eating - but most of all photographing it! Food is art and I love creating fun, appealing, beautiful photographs featuring amazing food. Food brings people together and is a great way to learn more about other folks.
2) People. I seem to have a knack to capturing personalities - especially with kids. Also, people in their natural habitats - relaxed, being themselves, enjoying a good laugh, etc. I definitely prefer candids as to overly posed.
3) I love abandoned places. I'm asked over and over again "Why are you taking a picture of that?" Well, it's because I find beauty in so many places. I love history and I love to hear people's stories. Photography is a way of breathing life into both.

My photography blog (prior to Insta) was named in the top 10 "Blogs that Rock!" in 2012 for outstanding content.
A fun fact about me
I assisted on photography for the "Dining with the Washington's" cookbook for Mt Vernon. Part of that project included spending the night at Mt Vernon - not in the house, but in the guest accommodations. I didn't sleep at all that night. Very cool, but also very creepy! Pretty sure it's haunted.
