11 Years of experience

Hi there! I'm Ellie C.

I picked up a camera for the first time creatively about ten years ago, but have been professionally shooting for six years. Firstly starting with portraiture, fine art, and most recently, weddings.

Now, this part of my bio would normally be the part where I would go in to "how I found photography", or a story about getting my first camera. I don't think people care about that, so I won't bore you with the details.

But I will tell you what's important about me as a photographer.

On this website, you'll find a lot about storytelling. It is, at the core, why I am a photographer. After a year or so of debating this with only myself, it's what I've come to the conclusion of. I will only be happy with myself as a photographer if I stay true to that.

I am in love with storytelling. It's the greatest muse of my life. I'm in love with connecting with people for incredibly short moments of our lives, then giving them pictures that shows them at their core. But before that, I'm in love with making people feel comfortable, so they can feel beautiful, and radiate that through their photos.

Awards, honors and recognition

I've won two awards for my photography. 1st place in photography at Round Rock Arts IMAGINE exhibit in 2016, and then 1st place in photography for the 2020 Texas Mental Health Creative Arts Contest! These were both for fine art photography, which is different from the portraiture that you'll see here. But, what won me those awards was my ability to convey a story through a photograph. That is something that I take pride in. Storytelling is the most important aspect of any art.

A fun fact about me

Foo Fighters are my favorite band of all time. I saw them when they came to Austin in 2015 for their performance at ACL Moody Theater. I only got in because I waited in the stand-by line from 9AM until five minutes before showtime, when they came out with tickets for a select number of people in line. It was the best concert of my entire life.

I’m in love with EVERY picture Ellie captured of us for our engagement session and I’m so excited for our wedding this September! She was awesome with our crazy dog, SUPER patient with him being nuts at the park with people walking by, and of course super patient with our awkward selves!!!! I will recommend Ellie to any and all my local friends looking for ANY photos!!!! See you in September!!!!

How many characters do I get because I have SO many good things to say about Ellie!! Ellie was our engagement and wedding photographer on the recommendation of a friend. She was kind and warm from the very first email communication. She was patient as we went through the process of deciding what exactly we wanted for our engagement photos. She was willing to come to our home and take the photos and we were immediately at ease and comfortable with her. Covid-19 happened and Ellie didn’t bat an eye about the uncertainty of our wedding and when it was decided that it would just be us, her, and our officiant, she was game! It was the hottest day in June and she had to wear a mask and she did it all with so much poise, professionalism, and enthusiasm! The photos could not be more beautiful and creative and we love them all so much! Would HIGHLY recommend Ellie for any big life event and will ABSOLUTELY work with her again in the future.

Ellie did the photography for my daughter's wedding this summer, and the pictures turned out wonderfully. She was friendly and professional. She readily added different poses and combos people asked for, and included numerous candid shots taken throughout the celebration. I highly recommend her for any special event you may be planning.
